Lancaster Civic Society aims to encourage high standards of architecture and town planning in new development in Lancaster District, and to help preserve the historic character of the City.

Members may:

join a programme of events throughout the year

enjoy regular newsletters

express views on the appearance of the City

participate in working parties to maintain the good appearance of the City

become involved in the National Heritage Open Days scheme every September

contribute to reviews of planning applications submitted to Lancaster City Council

engage in discussions about the development of Lancaster and its historic heritage
